Trophamine

Trophamine is a Pediatric specific amino acid infusion that is used for Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). It contains a number of essential and non-essential amino acids. It contains Taurine which helps in preventing long term Neuro-Developmental issues in Preterms. It also contains Tyrosine which metabolizes to produce the neurotransmitters serotonin, epinephrine and norepinephrine and it is also involved in the production of the skin pigment melanin.

It comes as a 100ml infusion.

Trophamine can be stored at room temperature.
